コロナウイルスによる影響は観光の楽園・ハワイでは、計り知れないレベルで大打撃を与えていています。今現在も日本からの飛行機は飛んでいませんし、いつ日常のハワイが戻るか分からない状況です。
店を閉めたまま高い空家賃を払い続けるか、はたまたこの状況の中、店を開け様々な経費を払い続けるか…いずれにしてもかなりの経済的な体力が必要な状況です。
ただ経済的な問題もありますが、出店して５年半という年月も経過して、色々な意味で仕切り直す良い機会ではないかと考え、散々悩みましたが、JAMES AFTER BEACH CLUB / HOLIDAY monsarrat 両店共に一旦閉店することにいたしました。
今後のハワイの状況、良い物件が見つかるかなど、いろんな縁に恵まれてタイミングが重なれば、またハワイのどこかで再開したいと思います。
当分の間は、JAMES鎌倉店 @james_kamakura のonline shopにて、JAMES ABCオリジナル商品の販売を続けていきます。
また7/11-8/16の間、JAMES鎌倉／新潟 @james_life_niigata にてHAWAIIフェアーを開催しております。

To our loyal customers and friends,
We opened James After Beach Club November of 2014, we were and are still blessed to be supported by a lot of you folks.
However due to recent times with Covid-19 affecting us all and the effects it’s had on the economy especially here in Hawaii with travel restrictions etc.
it’s uncertain when things will get back to normal, if ever.
With much consideration, we regret to announce that we decided to shut down both James after beach club Hawaii and Holiday Monsarrat at the end of June.
Just like the rest of the world in these uncertain times, we were/are faced with a lot of difficult decisions, and after 5 1/2+ years of doing business in Hawaii decided this was the best decision for us right now as a company.
If in the future, fate gives us an opportunity to do so, we would like to reopen the store again some day.
You can still purchase our original products from our Japanese online store. ( @james_kamakura )
We also have a Hawaiian Fair in Japan, Niigata prefecture and Kamakura from 7/11-8/16. So if you’re in the area and have a chance please stop by!
I hope the day will come soon, where we can return and visit Hawaii safely.
